Honorable Henry F. De Sio, Jr. is an author, international keynote speaker, campaign and innovation strategist, and organizational coach. His book is entitled, Campaign Inc.: How Leadership and Organization Propelled Barack Obama to the White House.

De Sio was appointed Deputy Assistant to President Barack Obama at the beginning of the new administration, and he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the 2008 Obama for America presidential campaign. He currently promotes the principles of individual and organizational leadership through his writings and public speaking engagements. 

Henry's perspectives are uniquely influenced by "The Changemaker Effect",  a term he coined to describe the global shift from a world long defined by hierarchy, specialized skills, and jobs of repetition, to the new Changemaker era that has emerged due to rising individual agency coupled with technological advancements and the democratization of leadership. He also offers the new framework for parenting, education, politics, and organizational leadership.

De Sio proudly serves as the Global Chair of Framework Change at Ashoka, a role that allows him to pursue his passion for helping individuals and organizations navigate this new strategic landscape. Henry works with leading social impact leaders across sectors and geographies to mainstream the new outlook, capacities, and experiences youth must have to thrive in a world of dynamic disruptive change. 

Henry earned his B.A. in Political Science from U.C. Santa Barbara and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School. He currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and two sons.
